Aqua

Well last week was Nick and I's one year anniversary, yay us!!! I couldnt be happier, he is just a great guy. Anyways, to celebrate we went to Aqua, one of the premier restaurants here in SF. It was great service, great atmosphere, and the food was exquisite. Maybe my taste buds just didnt get the food, but i really think Perbacco is still the best restaurant in the city. Aqua is definately worth going to at least one, for that special occasion, but not sure that i would go back for it. Nick had the John Dory, which neither of us had tasted before, and it was quite good. I had the Monkfish, which is my favorite fish. Both meals were really good, and the wine we had was fantastic, Chateau Montmare for the record. I guess there is a movie out now, about that wine label, called Bottle Shock (our waitress informed of this tidbit). So, if you up for the prices and the experience by all means check out Aqua. I have included a picture of my meal for your eye feast :)

Awwwwwww. 1 year :) it's like a decade for me. blah blah blah.

Anyway, that monkfish looks more like squid/octopus. ???

Mash w/ garlic sage. 5 lbs of mash. on the side, crisp bacon and use drippings to saute entire head of garlic w/ olive oil and sage. Cut the bacon and herbs after they cooled down and mix it in w/ mash. fluff up mash w/ butter and chicken broth or milk if you like :)
