well tomorrow is the big day, and i am so excited about the day and the results. Please everyone within the sight of my words get out there and vote. This country desperately needs a new direction and fresh leadership. I truly think that Obama can deliver on his promises.
I am also nervous about Prop 8, i think this is showing the worst of organized religion. The mormons have spent $20 million dollars to impose their morals on all of californians. This just irks me so much, why do chrisitans get to tell us how to live our lives, by passing laws that take away rights. This is so much like the Taliban it makes me ill, no wonder the new moniker Christian Taliban is so true. Please get out and vote, and vote no for Prop 8. Im not much of a ad guy, but the ads against prop 8 are right, no matter how you feel about marriage, taking away rights is just not how this country operates. Our founding fathers would die, if they saw religion dictating how we run this country. I find it repulsive, that there is no way a muslim or a atheiest cannot get elected in this country, and even the founders were atheiests or agnositcs. How did we get here? Well, i know its been a while since ive blogged, but please get out and vote and save this country of ours before we turn into a fascist religon state.

Drag Wrestling
so last night Nick and I went to the Cat Club, for something called Reach Around. Nick's friend Jeremiah (aka Angie Myma) was performing. What a truly san francisco thing, you havent lived til you've seen two or three trannies going at it. Wigs were flying, mascara was running and wow, what a spectacle. For the record, Angie took the round against two other tragic draggies. Good thing alcohol was being poured, I think this was the last time for this show, but you never know what is just around the corner in SF!!!!! I love this city.
Aqua
Well last week was Nick and I's one year anniversary, yay us!!! I couldnt be happier, he is just a great guy. Anyways, to celebrate we went to Aqua, one of the premier restaurants here in SF. It was great service, great atmosphere, and the food was exquisite. Maybe my taste buds just didnt get the food, but i really think Perbacco is still the best restaurant in the city. Aqua is definately worth going to at least one, for that special occasion, but not sure that i would go back for it. Nick had the John Dory, which neither of us had tasted before, and it was quite good. I had the Monkfish, which is my favorite fish. Both meals were really good, and the wine we had was fantastic, Chateau Montmare for the record. I guess there is a movie out now, about that wine label, called Bottle Shock (our waitress informed of this tidbit). So, if you up for the prices and the experience by all means check out Aqua. I have included a picture of my meal for your eye feast :)

The Dark Knight
So last night Nick and I went to see The Dark Knight, and i gotta say, WOW!. What an amazing work done by Nolan and comapany. Ledger did a remarkable job of truly capturing the Joke from the comics, a manaical murdering madman. I must recommend you go and see it on IMAX the cityscapes that are presented make you feel like your actually in a helicopter riding over the city.
The only thing im unsure about is the Harvey Dent thing, two face was presented quite grotesquely and i actually liked it, but kinda sad on how Dent was protrayed by Eckhardt, just a bit bland i thought. Dent was always just a bit more passionate and fiery.
This is the best Batman ever!!! and thats saying alot for people who know me, cuz i think the first batman by Burton was the best. Heath truly trumps Nicholson on this one, and i hope he at least gets a nomination for the role. And yes i think he would be getting this attention if he was still alive.
I cant wait to see what happens in the next movie, would love to see what character they bring to this gritty portrayal of batman.
On a side note the trailer for Watchmen was with batman, and i dont know much about this comic, but i intend to find out, it just looks absolutely amazing and i cant wait to see it.
GO SEE DARK KNIGHT!
On another side note Nick got another gig with the SF Symphony. I am so proud of him, im hoping to be able to go and hear him play this time. He is also auditioning for the Marin Symphony. I have a bassoon superstar as a boyfriend. woohoo

the Iphone of Dread
Greeting all you out there in cyber land. been a while since ive posted, but now i can post that i have finally gotten my Iphone 3g. Ive got to say that i love it, love it, love it, love it. Although getting it was quite the nightmare, which im sure i wasnt the only one to bitch about it.
So my neighbor Diana and i got up early friday morning to head to the Apple store to pick up our shiny new phones. The line was innocuous enough we met some fellow geeks in line and had a good time. After almost 4 hours in line we finally got into the apple store only to be told that i couldnt get my phone there, because my account was a corporate account and i had to go to the att store. I was supremely pissed and felt like closing my account at the time, but i wanted this damn phone. Diana was able to get her phone, but the girl setting her up, dropped it on the floor, causing its first ding, and told her that dropping it was not covered in the warranty.
So we went to the att store at around noon to get me a phone, alas they were sold out and was told that i HAD to come to the att store to get my phone. My final words were CUNT!!!
The next day, saturday, i got up early and got in line at the att store, all went so smoothly, i was the 18th person in line and was in the store a total of 5 minutes. So now i have my phone, and i gotta say its sooooo worth the crap i went through. Its taking me some time to get used to the typing on it, but its so intuitive and just feels great. I drank the punch and joined the apple iphone brigade.
Anyone want some Punch? hehehe

3g

I am so excited, i cant wait to get my hands on a black 3g iphone. As usual Jobs outdid himself at the WWDC today, i wish i could have been in the audience. The SDK and the enterprise applications just look amazing, look out DS and PSP the Iphone is gonna be taking some market share on that one. I havent been this excited about a phone since, well never. I just cant wait for it, its going to be so much fun. Im so glad i waited the year for this.
As a side note, my plant bloomed yesterday and it just smells amazing, as well as looks amazing. I took a couple pictures and will post them when i get them downloaded. I wish i could convey how this flower is, ive been waiting three years for this, and its just an amazing flower.

What is it?????
Thursday
OMG i am so bored today, work is so slow, i guess its nice that im easing back into my work schedule, but today sucks. I still havent not heard back from Intuitive Surgical either, my hope for that job is dwindling by the hour. Job searching is the worst, and there is nothing worth applying for lately on the internet. Where else should i be looking? I need to get on the cardinal health website and job search there as well. Maybe i should have taken that job in scottsdale, NOT!
I am excited that Nick will be moving in with me, that starts July 1. I need to tell Todd and the family about that, its kind of a big move for me. I havent lived with anyone since i lived with Ron oh so so many years ago, and that boy was a pure psychopath. I do love Nick, and am looking forward to it.
Monday should be a fun day, with the announcement of the new apple products, i wish i could afford to apple up my computing life. I will be getting a new 3g iphone probably at the end of June, when i can afford it. I am slowly trying to transition my finances and make them more productive for me, havent been doing a very good job of that lately. Well, i think thats all the rambling i have in me for now. I am sitting at my desk in the SPD bored as f**k, i should just go home, being here isnt doing me anygood. I really do need to make some more money so i can get back into my investing, im almost sick that i dont have the cash to invest in apple right now with all these announcements looming. www.macrumors.com/iphone, and the new website i discovered www.tuaw.com.

Job Search!!
why do companies call you, do phone assesments or phone interviews, and then never call again? I mean how bad can you sound on the phone? Its just increasingly frustrating as i go about my job search for a new career. I think i should just concentrate on going back for my MBA. The job search is just not going well. I am super qualified for most of the jobs im applying for. Im really not sure what i am doing wrong. I really wish i knew, if anyone out there has any suggestions please let me know, i am about at the end of my ropes.
If anyone works for Intuitive Surgical put a good word in for me. hehehe

Memorial Day Weekend
Hey all, hope your weekend was fabuluous, mine was quite good. Friday night Nick and I saw Indiana Jones new movie, and i gotta say i really enjoyed it, once i figured out what they were doing with the movie. So ok, we all know that the original indy movies were a tribute to 30's serialized cliffhanger shows. This new indy is also a tribute to the 50's b movies, and boy do they pull it off. sure its a bit long, and a bit trite and boring in parts, and its not the best movie in the series (Raiders still the best), but its definately worth the watch.
Saturday, had a party for Nicks graduation, went off great had some great fun and got a bit drunky, hehe. We made blue berry jello shots, boy i got a bit tipsy off those ones, havent had those in years, but oh boy they were yummy ;)
I think thats all my musings for today, nothing special to muse on today i must say. I cant wait til Dark Knight comes out in July.

OMFG

I recently came upon this interesting clip from someones blog concerning Bush's speech last week from the Knunessent in Israel. Read it and it will make you throw up a bit in your mouth.
Dear Mr. Bush,
Your speech on the Knesset floor today was not only a disgrace; it was nothing short of treachery. Worse still, your exploitation of the Holocaust in a country carved out of the wounds of that very crime, in order to strike a low blow at American citizens whose politics differs from your own is unforgivable and unpardonable. ...
Well Mr. Bush, the only thing this comment lacked was a mirror and some historical facts. You want to discuss the crimes of Nazis against my family and millions of other families in Europe during World War II? Let me revive a favorite phrase of yours: Bring. It. On!
Your family's fortune is built on the bones of the very people butchered by the Nazis, my family and the families of those in the Knesset who applauded you today. ...
You family did not stop with supporting fascists and Nazis abroad, did they Mr. Bush? Surely you must know of your grandfather's role in the treasonous plot of 1933 to overthrow democracy in America? Let me remind you.
Grandpa Bush - that is to say, your grandfather - wanted fascism imported into the United States, or as you now call this type of transformation, "exporting democracy." Prescott went so far as to subsidize a coup attempt in order to achieve his dream of a fascist America.

Weekend Delight

This past weekend was some fantatic stuff going on. My best friend Todd was in town and he and my bf Nick went to this great restaurant on friday night, youll notice the picture attached, that was our appetizer, yum yum yum. I urge all who may or may not read this blog to head there ASAP, of course not quite as yummy as my favorite SF restaurant Perbacco, its worth the evening dining experience.
Sunday of course was Bay to Breakers, and i hate getting up early on weekend, but this was great, since i had missed last years race. My friend Richelle, Tula and Lance had a part at her place on Hayes street, right after the big hill. Was truly a joy to see Richelle, Tula and Lance as it had been quite some time since seeing them. Anyone who has gone to BTB knows what a crazy spectacle it is. I ended up pretty sloshed and even got to try some Absinthe, which is now legal in the US. Im actually quite fond of it. Has a very clean fresh taste, even though it is so strong it took my breath away at the first sip. Im planning on getting some for Nicks Graduation party this coming weekend.

Marriage
Ive been mulling this around for some time, and i think its time to share my mind on it. Im so glad the California State Supreme Court overturned the ban on same sex marriages in this state. However, the conservative christian right nut jobs are frothing at the mouth to get an amendment on the state ballot in November to not over turn the ruling, but also to take away all rights for gays and lesbians.
This whole christian right just drives me batshit. Now, to what ive been thinking about. We in america critisize the Islamic "extremists" for their intolerance of america and our way of life. How are the "moral majority," christian right any different than these people? They are constantly trying to take rights away from people (namely gays and lesbians) based on some book that was written hundreds of years ago and has no basis for our society anymore.
The Shia and the Sunni want to run their country with religious zealousy, the Sauds run their country with religious authority, and now these nut jobs want to run America in the name of Jesus. So how does this make them any better or any worse than our newly named "enemies."
Jerry Fallwell, James Dobson and the rest of their ilk are no better than other religious fanatics in trying to control society to their ideal thinking. Their forked tongues spit hatred and disgust at anything that doesnt conform to the bible. So I tell them they are no different than the Islamic Extremists that they curse and drive this war to its tragic fruition. I dont think Jesus (if he ever existed) would want people to speak on his behalf and claim to know what he would do in any situation. People in this world just need to see each other as people and not as objects to be controlled.
I urge everyone to vote no on the hateful constitutional amendment these religious fanatics will produce in november. The world has not fallen apart since Massacussetts has had gay marriages and straight people are not catching on fire and their marriages are no different since gays have been getting married. Lets continue the practice and move this country past centuries of hate and racism against the minorities.
